Nothing pairs with football like meat on the grill, and if you’re looking for the place to grab a meal and get fired up before this season’s Badger football Homecoming game, then look no further than the Mountain West Bank parking lot.
Mountain West employees will continue the recent tailgate tradition again this season on September 29 when the Bonners Ferry Badgers take on the St. Maries Lumberjacks during Homecoming week. Mountain West will have the grill fired up before, during and right after the annual Homecoming parade. You can grab a burger or hot dog and a drink before the parade gets started or swing by afterward. All of the food and beverages are provided by Mountain West at no cost, but donations are encouraged as all of the proceeds from the tailgate go to the junior class parents, who in turn use the money on the Senior All-Nighter at the end of the school year.
If you swing by after the parade, you’ll get a chance to sing the fight song with the band, meet some of the players and enjoy cheers and performances by the Badger cheer squad. There is also a gift basket worth about $100 that you could win by purchasing a $1 raffle ticket. The winner will be announced during the Homecoming game.
The event is completely family friendly, and everyone is encouraged to stop by to show their support for our local athletes. The tailgate party is expected to go from around 11am to 2pm or until the food runs out, so be sure to get there a little early. Drop by to show our students your support, enjoy a meal with friends and neighbors, and get ready for one of the biggest football games of the year!
