Be prepared for the biggest Festival of Hearts Gala yet!
By Jillian Chandler
Each year, the Festival of Hearts Gala is an incredible opportunity for those in attendance to meet other business owners in the community while supporting a great cause—Boundary Community Hospital’s Fry Healthcare Foundation. In addition, they can also learn about all the updates that have happened at Boundary Community Hospital and Boundary Community Clinics. Plus, as Danielle Larsson, community relations and marketing for Boundary Community Hospital, reminds, “It’s always nice to get out and dress up for a night on the town!”
This year’s Festival of Hearts Gala, an evening of Black and Gold, takes place Saturday, February 17, at the Kootenai River Inn, with festivities kicking off at 5pm. Just 120 tickets, priced $100 each, will be available and can be purchased through the Fry Healthcare Foundation’s webpage (BoundaryCommunityHospital.org/foundation) and clicking on the “Foundation” tab.
The auction will feature 10 high-value auction items as well as a raffle, and of course the fan-favorite Dessert Dash. Those who would like to donate a dessert for the Dessert Dash, please be sure to reach out to Danielle today at 208.267.6912, as they have a limited number of desserts that they are able to accept. Approved desserts can be delivered to Kootenai River Inn (7169 Plaza Street) the day before or day of the event. For those individuals or businesses interested in being a sponsor, visit BoundaryCommunityHospital.org/foh-sponsor to fill out and submit the sponsorship form.
“I love getting to see the community face to face and talk about everything that the Fry Healthcare Foundation has been working so hard on to continuously improve the health care available to Boundary County,” Danielle reflects.
$34,000 was raised at the 2023 event, which proceeds went to purchase new defibrillators for the hospital’s Emergency Department. They are aiming to raise $50,000 for the hospital at this year’s gala.
As of press time, they had not yet finalized the “Fund an Item” for the 2024 event; keep an eye out at their website for the announcement in the coming days.
Danielle concludes, “We are excited to have the biggest Festival of Hearts Gala yet and are eager to see our community!”
