Spring ADVENTURES
Plants and flowers are coming to life and you’ll find plenty of each at Moose Valley Farms, one of the more impressive year round greenhouses in Idaho. Depending on the previous snowfall and spring weather, hunt the woods for morel mushrooms or pick fresh huckleberries. Stretch your legs with a round of golf at Mirror Lake Municipal course, or hit the pavement to Canada and back on the International Selkirk Loop, one of the most scenic drives in North America. The Bonners Ferry Farmers Market typically opens in late April, and as the season changes so do the fresh goods available.
Bonners Ferry Farmer's Market
The Bonners Ferry Farmer's Market (running year round) is one of the oldest farmers' markets in the state of Idaho. They have expanded our range of offerings and market hours over the years. The market has grown from a few hardy souls selling produce and bare-root plants to an average of nearly 30 vendors per market day with everything from salad mix, herbal vinegars and spices to handmade soaps, handspun yarn, basketry and lawn furniture. Many local small businesses have gotten their "training wheels" by participating in this market. In 2004 they added a Holiday Market in November showcasing holiday gifts, winter produce, and local artisans. Visit www.bonnersferryfarmersmarket.org for more information.
