Summer Adventures
With the spring runoff slowing and water temperatures rising, it’s time to get out and play in the waters surrounding Bonners Ferry. Pump up your tube and inflate your raft for a beautiful float down the Kootenai River. Mornings and evenings present excellent fly-fishing opportunities for multiple species. Check out classic hot rods at the annual Borders 3 Jamboree put on by the Rod Benders Car Club each June or the Boundary County Fair each August. The Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge is teeming with life and summer is a great time to see the birds and animals up close. Make camp and end your day with a roaring fire and look up at the incredible amount of stars.

Bonners Ferry Farmer's Market
The Bonners Ferry Farmer's Market (running year round) is one of the oldest farmers' markets in the state of Idaho. They have expanded our range of offerings and market hours over the years. The market has grown from a few hardy souls selling produce and bare-root plants to an average of nearly 30 vendors per market day with everything from salad mix, herbal vinegars and spices to handmade soaps, handspun yarn, basketry and lawn furniture. Many local small businesses have gotten their "training wheels" by participating in this market. In 2004 they added a Holiday Market in November showcasing holiday gifts, winter produce, and local artisans. Visit www.bonnersferryfarmersmarket.org for more information.
